Albury Wodonga Military Area

David and Annette West are our two Military Stream staff workers ministering within the Albury Wodonga Military Area. They regularly meet to look at the Bible and have fellowship with some of the students and staff, as well as others in the local community. There are 4000 or so military students who attend courses there every year. The courses range from two days to two years, and staff are posted there for up to six years.

ADFA

Since the Australian Defence Force Academy opened in 1986, the Navigators have served cadets and midshipmen. The Navigators aim to support the goals of the Academy and the Chaplain’s department at the Academy by assisting cadets and midshipmen to develop in character to take their place as effective leaders in the ADF.

Currently, the Navigators team at ADFA comprises Phil and Julianne McMaster.  They meet with cadets and midshipmen to investigate the claims of Jesus Christ, and to provide encouragement and coaching for Christian cadets.

 There is a strong network of families in Canberra, many of whom are military families, who are part of the Navigator community there. Phil and Julianne also provide a link between cadets and midshipmen and this broader network, and also to the ministry of the Navigators at other civilian universities in Canberra.
