Fun MenThe Navigators of Australia is a movement that has ministries to Aussie Uni students, International Uni students, the Military, churches and in the community in general in various locations around Australia.

We are predominantly a lay movement who, under God’s sovereign hand, encourage, support and equip regular people to be able to live out God’s call on their life where they are.  We help them grow in biblical depth and the godly passion to share the good news of Jesus with their friends, neighbours and family in a natural way.  We focus on Christ and Christ alone, both in our relationship with Him, and in living for Him.  What we do is grounded in the Great Commandment – to love God with all your heart soul mind and strength (Matthew 22:35-40) and in the Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20).  We aim to conduct ourselves and contribute to society in such a way as to “make the teaching about God our Saviour attractive” (Titus 2:10).

We have ministries in a number of places around the country.  To join us, please go to one of the locations listed under the “Ministries” menu, find the ministry you are interested in and click on the contact for that particular one.

Intensive Training Program

We have an intensive training program where participants are given the opportunity to experience vocational ministry on a full or part time basis.  The goals for the Training Program are:

  • To Equip Labourers
  • To Clarify Personal Calling
  • To Carry out the Mission of the Navigators

As part of the experience you should you would be encouraged to work with God to grow your character, especially in the area of personal holiness, spiritual disciplines, faith and prayer life; to grow in knowledge and love for God; and to deepen your knowledge of and love for the word of God.

Participants work as part of a campus ministry or a graduate ministry.  The training program is modularised so that elements can be completed as time allows. There is no time limit to complete the training, however, in the normal course of events, the training program could be completed in 11 months if undertaken on a full time basis or 18 months if a person was training 20 hours per week.  The training would break approximately into 50% ‘Hands on’ - ministry experience in reaching the lost, leading bible discussions both one to one and in small groups, leading prayer times and conducting leisure activities for the group to enjoy.  45% of your time would be spent in formal study, being directed personal study and teaching sessions. 5% of your time in would be spent in fundraising, communication and administration.
